Synergy Between PT.Indospring, Tbk and SMK Semen Gresik Builds Skilled Talent

In collaboration with SMK Semen Gresik, PT. Indospring, Tbk facilitates an industrial class program that combines six months of theoretical learning at school with six months of hands-on practice in the company. Mr. Choirul Ichsan, Principal of SMK Semen Gresik, describes this initiative as a strategic response to the challenges of today’s job market, aiming to produce graduates who are fully ready to enter the workforce.
Mr. Bob Budiono, Director of Human Capital at PT. Indospring, Tbk, shared that this is the second batch following the successful graduation of 20 students in the first batch. This year, Indospring targets 100% graduation, ensuring all participants internalize values of discipline, accountability, and professional industrial culture. Mr. Bob emphasized the importance of shifting students’ mindsets from school habits to workplace expectations, as even small mistakes in the industry can have significant consequences.
Strong support also comes from Mr. Zainul Arifin, Head of the Gresik Manpower Office, who appreciates the program as a concrete step aligned with Regional Regulation No. 7/2022 prioritizing local labor. Mr. Kiswanto, Head of the Gresik Education Branch Office, encourages more schools to replicate this model to help reduce open unemployment rates.
